Raw

by KatieP, in category Head | Creativity

Even after seven years, my blog isn’t very popular. I could never be called an influential Australian blogger. I’ve never won an award. The Prime Minister hasn’t invited me for morning tea.

Blogopolis 2012 ~ The Lost Art of Blogging

by KatieP, in category Head | Creativity
the lost art of blogging

I don’t want to be a brand, a shop or business. I want to remain a storyteller and continue to share my innermost secrets with you. Spewing the chaos in my head onto the page/screen is what makes me come alive.

gratitude

Gratitude – for each breath I take, for each dawn and each full moon, for each kiss and for each idea that catches me by surprise – that’s my religion and my purpose.

Kindle me this… [the digital experiment]

by KatieP, in category Head | Creativity
fill your paper

I want to write. And I want to write books. Not fancy hardback paper books that gather dust in book shops but e-books, digital guides and electronic blueprints for life. I’m going to do it properly and publish them as Kindle books on Amazon.

a broken blog = a broken heart

crying at the computer

This morning I got a copy of the email that lets people know if my blog is updated. It was showing a whole lot of old posts from July. When I checked my blog everything I had written and designed on my blog for the last six months had disappeared. I cried.

can help me by kaled umar

I’m thinking of making a 100% free thing that teaches you how to become a confident, warm and open woman who’s comfortable in her own skin, and uses her short time on earth to do what matters rather than please others.

I need your advice (please)

by KatieP, in category Health | Sexuality

Over the past several months I’ve talked with a lot of you about what you’re struggling with. You’ve told me that you sometimes feel like you’re not good enough, that the fear of failure paralyses you and stops you from doing the things you love, and that you’re afraid others will find you lacking in some terrible way if you reveal your true thoughts and feelings.

Author – Katie Paul

I have survived adoption, bulimia and the suicide of my husband, more or less unscathed. I attribute my resilience to my guardian angels Bob, Fred and Hugo.

I used to be a stage manager but gave it all up to create beautiful images and to write about loss, love, lust and longing. I get a bit raunchy at times because that’s the way life should be – full of big juicy moments. I'm sure Bob, Fred and Hugo agree.
