So this is my greatest fear … that I will stroke the face of suffering and make something beautiful and worthwhile from my pain and no-one will need it or want it. This terror keeps me awake at night.
I have decided to create an INSIDERS LIST, to recognise those of you that like what I write and are happy to stick around. Some of you reading have followed my journey for a long time and for that I am truly grateful. I want to start giving back to you, because you matter to me.
We cut down that which blossoms and flowers. We cut down women who seem too much and too spirited, or too quiet and still. We block out the sunlight so that the psyche cannot grow and sever the tree from the ground so that it cannot thrive.
So I’ve been thinking long and hard about this blog. I am considering closing it down and walking away. Everything I have to say I’ve already said (more than once). I feel like I have nothing new to say anymore.
I’ve been struggling with my non-fiction book project because I don’t want it to be another misery memoir – you know the type … how I overcome all sorts of tragedy and emerge relatively unscathed and the reader either feels depressed, inspired or bored.
In order to conquer our hardest challenge, to scale the highest peak of our experience we need to acclimatize to the altitude and to do that we must spend some of our time going back down the mountain.
When I decided to fix my life through applying the teachings of the most popular gurus, things went horribly wrong.

The trees were knotted and scarred from years of neglect, the young plants were still too small and fragile and her own design was amateur and inferior compared to the professionally landscaped yards. The faults and flaws were obvious and ugly and she wondered how she could have ever overlooked them.
