The thought of being in ‘peak’ condition, in the best shape of your life is seductive and addictive.
You know that the body of your dreams is the ultimate success because with it comes confidence, pride, and a sense of achievement. Other people are inspired by your tireless dedication and discipline and you earn their respect. You feel beautiful, sexy, gorgeous and get to live the life you always imagined. It is a straightforward, well worn pathway to happiness and joy.
But How Was It Really?
I know that you have achieved the body of your dreams in the past, just like I have, and yet the reality was far different from the fantasy. Your confidence and pride was a little shaky because you didn’t end up with quite what you imagined. You weren’t lean enough, or muscled enough, or practised enough, and there were girls who looked better than you. You did your best, but it wasn’t good enough because the happiness and joy was fleeting at best.
The body of your dreams slipped through your fingers quicker than you ever thought possible.
Turn Things Inside Out
It is time to slide down the rabbit hole and see things in a different way. You can’t find confidence, joy, pride and respect from anything outside of you. Not from a banging body, not from a wonderful partner, not from a house or a car and not from a high flying career. The only place you can feel good about yourself is from the inside out.
Make the Choice to Feel Good Now
When you decide to feel confidence, pride, and a sense of accomplishment in spite of your thighs, your abs, your (lack of ) partner, your bank balance or your job, then the world becomes a magical place. When you feel as good now as you imagine you would being in the best shape of your life, then the struggle melts away. When you love yourself in this moment, with all your flaws and shortcomings, you feel beautiful, sexy, and gorgeous and begin living the life you always imagined right now.
Then when you achieve the lean, strong, healthy body you adore, it feels as comfortable as an old pair of slippers. People will be inspired because you have eaten what your intelligent body needed, moved in ways that made you feel alive, danced in the rain and laughed until your stomach muscles hurt. You will have created the body of your dreams, and now you get to keep it because it matches who you really are ~ a wonderful, weird, magical creature bursting out of your skin with the love of just being you.
Dare to hope, dare to believe that when you choose to live the joy of the dream in your heart first, then the rest will follow just as certainly as night follows day. The things you want don’t give you good feelings, the good feelings give you the things you want.
