We have chosen to live in this physical reality in order to experience a life of joy and wonder. The diversity of events around us and our different experiences formulate our preferences and ignite our desires.
When we want something passionately and wholeheartedly, it is because we were meant to have it. Our deepest desires spark our imagination and by imagining a better world, we create it.
We cannot dream something, or yearn for something without it being fully available to us.
So Why Isn’t it Here Already?
So why don’t we have a new car, an amazing house, a fabulous partner or a naturally slender body? If all that was required was simply dreaming, where is the evidence of our dreams?
It is because we spend all our time thinking about our present situation and the lack of these things in our lives. We feel frustrated, disappointed and unhappy with our current situation.
When we think of a new car, we instantly focus on the shitty car we have now and feel dissatisfied. When we imagine our gorgeous, lean, sexy body we are instantly overwhelmed by how fat and disgusting we look right now. The negative thoughts and feelings are blockages to the manifestation of the things that we want.
How Do We Stop Feeling Inadequate?
All we need to know is that what we want is our divine destiny and it already exists for us. We focus our attention on what we have already been given but are yet to see. And we are grateful for what we have right now.
So This is Christmas
It is like the delicious anticipation of a child at Christmas. When we ask Santa for a new bike, we don’t doubt that it will be under the tree on Christmas day, we don’t get a paper route to buy our own and we don’t hate our current bike.
Every day we ride to school we are reminded that although this bike has been great and we have enjoyed having it these past couple of years, there is a brand new bike on it’s way. It will be shinier, go faster and have more gears. We will feel amazing flying down the road, free to go wherever we want.
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
Where we are today is so much more wonderful and magical than our reality ten years ago. We know so much more, we have so much more and we have experienced so much more. And now we are poised on the edge of our future where things will be even more spectacular.
Love and appreciate the muscles you have now, the healthy food preferences you have developed, and the cumulative benefits of living a body conscious lifestyle. Acknowledge how far you’ve come and reflect on the growth that has brought you to this place here and now. Could you have believed that you could have the life you have now have ten years ago?
Today is glorious ~ enjoy it, and tomorrow will be better ~ look forward to it with the eager anticipation of a child at Christmas.
You CAN Always Get What You Want
You want what you want because it is the next logical step in your evolution. Feel hopeful, joyful and optimistic right now. It’s coming, you can feel it, and it’s going to be good!
Did You Know
So let’s talk about how to allow our desires to manifest.
- Let go of “how” – The quickest and easiest way to achieving your goals isn’t in how you think you should do it. It may take a radically different approach that you haven’t thought of yet. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t start on your path to creating your reality – it just means you should be open to other possibilities and opportunities that may come along that will, in essence, give you a shortcut towards your goals.
- Let go of “when” – We live in a society that wants instant gratification. If we take action and don’t see results in a week or two, we become frustrated and give up. Manifestation can take time and patience. When you focus on “not having” or “wanting,” you start focusing on all those negative emotions you feel rather than remaining optimistic and positive and enjoying your life for what it is right now.
- Express gratitude – It can be difficult to find joy and beauty when it seems like everything is going wrong with our lives, but whatever we focus on, we attract. The more grateful and appreciative you are, the more things you will find to be grateful and appreciative of.

The Dalai Lama says :“Everyday, think as you wake up, ‘today I am fortunate to have woken up, I am alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings, I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others, I am going to benefit others as much as I can.” ~ How To Manifest Your Desires
