Today is the first day I haven’t been employed in some form or another since I was 17. I have forgotten how glorious it is to
- spend ages in the shower
- have lunch at home
- sit in the afternoon sun to read
- go without make-up and wear thongs in public during the week
- have loud music playing
- have time to make the bed, empty the dishwasher and put things away
- have thinking time
So far, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

sounds wonderful! And I’m assuming thongs mean something else there than in the UK…
