My intention is to write THE BOOK this year. I have a ridiculous block to actually getting started, so I have set myself a goal of writing a set number of words a week in order to get it done!
As a warm up to the main event (to get the creative juices flowing and to start with something easier than THE BOOK), I am going to follow the prompts from the WordPress “Post a Day 2011″ project and write daily.
Today’s topic:
List three countries you’d like to visit, and why you want to go.
Greek Islands – for the sun, the sea and the sex — think Shirley Valentine.
France — Paris for romance, creativity and Bohemianism.
India — an ashram for yoga, meditation and perfect peace.

A fun website I went to for a while is http://www.writing.com; they have heaps of tools, information, services & contests to help you with writing and writing blocks.
Also, I remember reading once, writing 300 words a day is a good practice.
