I’ve Been Exposed

After seeing Roni’s brave post on We Are the Real Deal, I wasn’t sure if I had the balls to do the same. I gathered up my courage and took a photo this morning.

In all honesty, I was more than slightly worried I was going to completely freak out when I saw how I really look in the cold light of day (without a tan!).

It is a testament to the progress that I’ve made that I didn’t see anything to loathe or hate in this photo. All I saw was the beauty of a wonderful, divine body that is far more intelligent and capable than anything my brain can imagine.

I give you Katie Exposed ~ with the things I LOVE about my body.

I have a beautiful body

If I can make one person feel more beautiful by exposing myself, then my work here is done. Imagine what we could do if we all embraced our wonderful selves …

As Roni said :

I know it’s hard but now it’s your turn. Why do YOU love your body? What do you love about it? Are you willing to expose yourself?

Did you know

    1. Hi AJ ~ thanks for stopping by and for the arm compliment ~ I guess I just take them for granted so thanks for your perspective. Congratulations on your own photo and your commitment to living a healthy life. ♥

  2. I don’t know why you are freaking out so much Katie all I see when I look at your photo is a slim, fit looking body 🙂 Enjoy it!

    1. Hi Rene
Funny how I’ve been so busy trying to fix my body all this time that I’ve never really enjoyed it. I am so glad that things are a changin’ round here! ♥

  3. That is SO excellent Katie! Ironically I usually quite like mine but the past few days I have been really struggling. Hopefully things will turn around soon 🙂

    1. One of the ways I found that works is to just focus on gratitude. Being grateful that I am strong, functioning and healthy and that my body is how I give and receive love in this world has meant that looking ‘perfect’ is no longer important.

  4. Maybe you “channelled” this to me before I read it Katie! I have just written a post along these lines! Great minds……:)

  5. What a wonderful post Katie… I think the same way about my legs, reminding myself how strong and powerful they are to be able to carry me running 21kms and riding to work each day or the 60k bike ride tomorrow…

You have a beautiful body Katie

  6. You know what – the first thing I looked at was the writing on your body, NOT your body. I LOVE what you have written. You are beautiful in every single way.
